– Fri, Nov 11, 2016 at 09:28:58 PM
Backers,
We're so excited to say that we have just received the ShockStops!
The plane arrived yesterday in New York and our shipment made a speedy trip through customs and onto a truck to arrive in Philly today.
After a quick inspection and count, we'll be jumping right into fulfillment. You will get a shipping confirmation email once your order is boxed and labeled, but keep in mind that it will take at least a week to get through fulfillment.
We will be posting status updates throughout the week on Facebook & Instagram and posting another Kickstarter update once we've shipped all orders.
Thanks so much for your support and keep an eye out for your shipping confirmation email.

October Update #2: Assembly and Ship Date
about 8 years ago
– Thu, Oct 27, 2016 at 04:21:09 PM
Hi Backers!
We're getting so close! Production assembly is almost finished, so if you haven't updated your BackerKit survey, make sure to do that ASAP.
Here's the latest schedule:
The shipment from the factory is scheduled to leave from Taipei airport on Nov. 4th.
We expect to receive units here in Philadelphia on Nov. 11th.
Fulfillment will begin immediately and we expect all orders to ship out within approximately one week.
You will receive a shipping confirmation and tracking info via email once your ShockStop has shipped. We will send another update once we have started shipping.
The factory lost a bit of time due to a large typhoon that hit Taiwan this month. We also had to refinish one part to correct an issue with the coating. This has been resolved and they are churning through final assembly.
If you haven't gone into BackerKit to answer your shim question and update your shipping info, please do that now. If you need your survey link to be resent, please enter your email address here. If you have questions about shim sizes, see our guide.
Thanks to everyone who has already updated their information and finalized their order. We're so excited to get these into your hands, so stay tuned for a November fulfillment update. Thanks again for your patience - it's been a long wait, but we're almost there!

September Update: Almost there!

Hi Backers!
A few quick updates:
1) Packaging has been finalized and we're quite pleased with results. Have a look! Your ShockStop will be secured in a protective slider inside this box.
2) Production & Shipping Schedule: We're expecting parts to ship to us from Taiwan in the first week of October. We're using the same shipping and customs brokerage that we've used successfully in the past, so pending a quick trip through customs, we will begin fulfillment mid-October.
3) We'll be sending out an email in the next week or two prompting you to confirm shipping information in BackerKit. Keep an eye out for that, especially if your address information has changed since the original surveys were completed.
We'll check in again soon once we know parts have left Taiwan. Thanks for your support and stay tuned!

Packaging, Production Elastomers and More!
– Fri, Aug 12, 2016 at 11:19:52 PM
Hi Backers!
Sorry that we're a bit overdue with this month's update. As we mentioned in our last update, final production of Shockstop parts is underway, so we've been busy buttoning up a lot of other details in the meantime.
Packaging
We concepted a number of different designs for the Shockstop packaging. The box design needs to be durable enough to withstand the rigors of fulfillment and international shipping, and we wanted the artwork to be eyecatching and informative. Here are some of the concepts we considered.
Which one did we ultimately choose? You'll just have to wait and see...
Production Elastomers
We received the production samples of the molded elastomers and they look fantastic. Each Shockstop will ship with a set of 5 different elastomers, which will allow riders to custom-tune the stiffness of their stem. We'll include a guide to help you choose the best combination for your weight, riding style, and preferred feel.
The small loop at the front of each elastomer allows you to easily remove the elastomer from the stem if you want to swap them out.
Production Schedule
Things are still on track for the October delivery schedule that we outlined in the last update. We sent out a limited number of production sample units to beta testers to get real-world feedback, and have been incorporating their feedback to develop instructions and setup guides.
We can't wait for you guys to get your Shockstops installed and start riding! As usual, if you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to message us or post a comment.
